Hinterland #18

Inside:

The pieces in this special issue all concern nurture in the human realm: what it is to take care of, feed, and protect young humans; and what effects different levels of nurture can have on a person. This issue’s authors explore nurture across distance, in hospitals, in the close confines of a nursing chair. The nurturers within are variously male, female, queer, cloying, cruel, caring, carefree. Some find unexpected sources of nurture, beyond designated parental figures. Others look at what it is to crave the ability to nurture, and to be left unfulfilled.

Featuring writing by Marguerite Bunce, Oyéshiku Carr, Feline Charpentier, Meghan Flaherty, Molly Gunzinger Janz, Grace Halden, Sabrin Hasbun, Stan J Wild, Christie Jones, Elaine Lambie, Kirsty Loehr and Ceri Morgan.
