The new issue of Girls Like Us is a collaboration with Mothers and Daughters – a Brussel's based lesbian & trans bar. After eight years of operating as a community project for trans and lesbian people, Mothers & Daughters is wrapping up. In preparing for this chapter to close, and thinking of the futures that will open, Mothers & Daughters has created a collective publication in collaboration with Girls Like Us, called The Vortex.
The Vortex brings together new writing, conversations and visual works from the bar's family, contributors and allies, and serves as a celebration of Mothers & Daughters and the space's legacy as a vital community hub and project for trans and lesbian people.
