Inside:
Illustration icon anecdote. A few year ago a couple walked into the shop. They both looked familiar, and i soon recognised the woman as Jane Asher (actor, author, cookery guru and ex-girlfriend of Paul McCartney). I said hello, but was a bit star struck to engage in conversation, and eventually they both left. it wasn't until that evening, recounting the story to my partner, that i was informed that Jane Asher was married to Gerald Scarfe. That was when I realised that the other person walking around the shop had been the iconic illustrator himself. Next time, i'll be ready.
