The Incomplete Deck | Hans Gremmen

Regular price £11.50

The Incomplete Deck is a slim, but beautifully printed and illustrated guide to playing cards and their history. From their origins in China and the development of the recognisable suits in the UK, to the development of playing cards for the blind and visually impaired and the the launch of Microsoft's productivity destroying Solitaire game in 1990 - this is a wonderful and fascinating introduction to an object most of us have stuffed in a top drawer.

The brainchild of graphic designer Hans Gremmen, a playing card fan who has been picking up abandoned playing cards from the streets, hoping, one day, to complete a full deck. This is a delight for the playing card collector, ephemera lover or anyone interested in beautiful graphic objects

Each book contains a random playing card
