Richard Scarry books are the best. The B.E.S.T. Imagine then, if you could buy one handsome hardback with five complete books inside. Yes... FIVE. Well, here it is the 'Richard Scarry Best Treasury Ever'.
The Richard Scarry Best Treasury Ever (or TRSBTE as we're calling it) contains 'Great Big Mystery Book' (1969), 'Busiest People Ever' (1976), 'Great big Schoolhouse' (1969), Cars and Trucks and Things That Go' (1974) and 'Best Lowly Worm Book Ever' (2013).
And yes, it is chock full of incredible animal characters (racoon plumbers, pig street cleaners, that sort of thing), ingenious modes of transport (pickle trucks, toothpaste cars, Wolfwagons, etc.) and tons of adventures (supermarket mysteries, pie robberies...). In fact there is so much stuffed onto each and every page that it feels more like ten books.
Oh and if you are worried because i haven't really mentioned Lowly... there's plenty of Lowly.
