This book is the result of a year long project tracing the Water of Leith in Edinburgh and visualising the sights, sounds, and footsteps along the way.
This work presented in this book was a collaboration between Rebecca (Ploterre) and Jim Marsden (photographer). Walking thirteen miles along the Water of Leith from Balerno to Leith, Jim documented the walk and the process and Rebecca used this information alongside recordings, observations and GPS data, to visualise their journey at the same pace as the river.
The book contains photographs of the journey, data on a variety of aspects from bridges to bearings and the work that was produced as a result. There is also information on the steps behind collecting the information for each piece and the results of that journey.
