Since the early 1970s, Ghanaian artist and preacher Kwame Akoto—known as Almighty God—has crafted a distinctive visual language rooted in his work as a sign painter. His prolific practice weaves together spiritual devotion, personal and celebrity portraiture, and vivid snapshots of daily life in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region's cultural heart.
Through commanding typography and visual storytelling, Akoto expresses gratitude for life's gifts—humanity, nature, sustenance—whilst offering spiritual warnings against temptation, from witchcraft and paganism to modern vices. His work stands as a powerful testament to faith, community, and the transformative power of art.

From warnings about our ecological futures (Garbage, Will it Bury Us?), philosophical musings that chime with our times (Don't Rush in Life, Learn from the Movement of the Tortoise), and surrealist visions (Wizards and Witches Barber Shop) - the combination of text and image is wonderfully done, and outsider in feel (an painting style he refers to as Creativity art).
