Ben Edge's figurative paintings depict 'extraordinary lives of ordinary people', people whose lives are intertwined with the customs, seasons and folklore of the British Isles. His imagery includes the events, places, and characters central to our folk traditions; something that Ben has been researching over the last few years (the 24 illustrations contained within date from between 2017 and 2023).
Folklore Activist is a 40-page visual primer showcasing Ben’s unique artwork alongside an in-depth interview with Weird Walk, plus the print debut of his essential Folklore Activist Manifesto.
It started as a walk, friends actively engaged in the British landscape. It has become a lovingly put together zine on these activities.
