Anyone who has had the good fortune to pick up one of the cards or prints produced by Scout Editions (brother and sister collective, Wai and Pui), will have been pulled in and enchanted by the simple, super-cute forms they use to bring to life ordinary objects - a bag of oranges, a teapot, or a suitcase, for example.
Mini Stories, which has been published by the excellent Counterprint, gathers together over 180 of these objects and, on each page, tells a story about them, bringing to life the calculators, watering cans, socks, trumpets, and kimonos.
All the images inside have been scanned from the original riso prints, and they all have a beautifully distinct quality to them. A great book for adults and kids alike and one you'll keep going back to.
The cover also folds out into a wonderful mini poster! (see slide along images)
