The new issue of Uppercase takes inspiration from the botanical world. As editor Janice Vangool writes "During these challenging times, many of us have turned to nature for nourishment and healing. Not only have we grown fruit, vegetables and flowers, we’ve produced art, design and craft inspired by the garden."
Inside you'll find inspirational community gardens, a closer look at the tools we use for gardening, a catch-up with cover artist Katherine Watson, a stunning array of artworks inspired by the humble seed packet and a look at the work of textile designer Helen Hallows.
Uppercase is put together by Janine Vangool who has a keen eye for contemporary crafts. It is beautifully printed on matte stock and the spine alone is a work of art. A pleasing and collectable publication. While the magazine looks at traditional craft, it is in no way nostalgic, it looks at contemporary applications and champions modern and inspiring craft.
