Wow, this is a thing of beauty. Not the reef itself (although it undoubtedly is), but this new kid's book from the ever-awesome Flying Eye. Illustrator Lisk Feng fills the pages with glorious colour and delicate line work, perfectly capturing this sub-aquatic world. Author, Helen Scales, takes us on a journey from the Reef's very beginnings to its current predicament, fueled by discarded plastics and global warming (don't fret - there's great stuff inside about how we can try and change things for the better).
Inside there are some amazing facts about the Reef's weird and wonderful inhabitants, stories and legends about the native islanders and even some amazing Reef art.
A beautifully published hardback that will keep kid's and adults enthralled.
