Born and bred. NRTH LASS is the creation of Jenna Campbell and Jessica Howell who, frustrated with not being able to read about women 'thriving and enjoying success in the north', decided to create their own magazine. Covering the cities of Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and Liverpool, NRTH LASS celebrates female talent in the North - and hooray for that we say. In the debut issue we meet Kerry Harker, a Leeds-based independent curator connecting art and community, Liz Cottam, a Masterchef semi-finalist making a splash with her latest culinary project Home and Hester Talbot, founder of Manchester-based vegan food company Rosie & Organic. elsewhere the spotlight is shone on the New Light Prize Exhibition, Opera North and female DJ collective Meat Free.
NRTH LASS celebrates the best of female talent up north. It focusses on successful women and aims to empower and inspire women in business, start-ups, art, literature, parenthood, travel, and leisure.
We love the focus of NRTH LASS and are looking forward to hosting their issue launch on the 16th of this month!
