From the excellent Hoxton Mini Press and in collaboration with British Journal of Photography andIntroduced by David Olusoga, this is the third in a series featuring 200 of the most compelling portraits taken in a Britain.
This edition captures people living through a period prior to, and during, the current world crises. The global pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement have ushered in a wave of change to Britain, and these portraits capture a snapshot of our world in flux. This, as David Olusoga notes, is a "broadly diverse, all-encompassing, multi-generational, multi-racial, multi-faith Britain." Inside things feel different, changed - distancing, masks, activism, lockdown all painting a new picture - but there's hope here, resilience, community and strength.
The photos are accompanied by wonderful quotes from the photographers.
