QSL cards are the visual ephemera of the two-way world of Citizen’s Band radio. ‘QSL?’ means ‘Do you receive me?’ and ‘QSL’ means ‘I receive you’.
These postcard-sized communications were the social medium for amateur radio enthusiasts for decades. Blank on one face, these cards became an advertising space, used to promote the societies, clubs and services.
The images in this book are from the QSL card collection of Antoine Horfee, and display an incredible diversity of amateur hand-written lettering and drawing.
