Before turning his lens on the true brutal beauty of the British Isles (the North), talented art photographer Simon Phipps took his camera to the country's capital to capture the raw concrete and stern geometry of London's Brutalist buildings.
This black and white photographic exploration of the city's postwar modernist architecture, arranged by municipal borough, is a fine way to rediscover a familiar landscape and includes many well-known and iconic examples (Trellick Tower, the Brunswick Centre, Alexandra Road Estate etc.) as well as lesser-known housing estates and municipal spaces.
