Uppercase #59

Regular price £15.00

Inside: UPPERCASE

Inside the new issue you'll find makers that use antique equipment and embrace traditional processes, there's a look at the maker's marks used by ceramicists, and a look at how mark making is vital to the creative process.

Elsewhere we discover the calligraphic marks and textures of lettering artist Yukimi Annand, a meandering path to minimalism with quilt-maker and textile artist Catherine-Marie Longtin, and some colourful hand-built ceramics from Melissa Weiss.

Uppercase is put together by Janine Vangool who has a keen eye for contemporary crafts. It is beautifully printed on matte stock and the spine alone is a work of art. A pleasing and collectable publication. While the magazine looks at traditional craft, it is in no way nostalgic, it looks at contemporary applications and champions modern and inspiring craft.
