The Illustrated Dust Jacket is a beautiful hardback, which examines the work of 50 illustrators working in the golden era of book jacket design. The different eras (Art Deco, Modernism, Kitchen Sink etc.) take real form as you leaf through this incredible selection of almost 400 illustrations. There is a richness here that is a thrill to sift through, from Tove Jansson's Moomin covers to the fantastic spidery line work of Ronald Searle - there is something for everyone to find joy in. Bawden, Piper, Ardizzone, Ravilious, Lustvig, the roll call is as impressive as the works are beautiful.
