Photoshop For Screen Printing: Converting Halftones - OttoGraphic.
Otto is a Graphic Artist working as a screen printer and book artist and whose imagery is inspired by the designs of the Russian Constructivists. Since 2010 he has run a print workshop near Bath and has self-published several screen printed books.
'Photoshop For Screen Printing: Converting Halftones' is the second of Otto's series of 'how to' guides and it explains how to use Photoshop for the preparation and visualisation of artwork for screen prints as well as risographs. It particularly focuses on converting halftones for black and white positives.
The book is a work of art in itself, with the 'text-block' screen printed on a single sheet, then sliced and folded into individual pages. The centre page spread folds out to double size to reveal one of 13 beautiful abstract illustrations.
