Another beautiful typographic title from those excellent folks at Seigensha in Tokyo. This pocket marvel was originally published in 1967 and went under the name 'A Book of Variant English Letter Designs'. The work inside captures the increasing visibility of English and Roman letterforms which became visible in post-war Japan on notices, printed materials and signboards. There is such a wealth of inspiration to be taken from these delicately hand-drawn alphabets and numerals, which show some striking stylisation and idiosyncratic flourishes.
