The stories in this issue of Uppercase explore the abstract. inside you'll find articles on embracing our inner child when making art, on the history of abstraction and on how to define the abstract in art. There is a beautiful gallery of works from selected abstract artists, an interview with cover artist Leigh Bagley, and even advice on making your own abstract paintings.
Uppercase is put together by Janine Vangool who has a keen eye for contemporary crafts. It is beautifully printed on matte stock and the spine alone is a work of art. A pleasing and collectable publication. While the magazine looks at traditional craft, it is in no way nostalgic, it looks at contemporary applications and champions modern and inspiring craft.
