Ooh we like that taxi cab yellow cover - it has us in mind of gigantic pastrami sandwiches, b-ball courts, the New York Yankees logo... but it hasn't, up until now, make us think about footie. Sam Diss's excellent article on the Big Apple's 'soccer' scene is the brilliant core of another excellent issue. Elsewhere Mundial roams the globe to bring us the women's game in Pakistan, the story of Turkish Community Football in London, a profile on Preben 'Crazy Man from Lokeren' Elkjær and a closer look at the footie scene in Derry.

Mundial Magazine touts itself as a 'really good football magazine' and we can't really argue with that. With a focus on the beautiful game both home and away, it takes us from the Sunday leagues to the superstars and does so with wit and flair that's hard to match.

Highlight:

The article on the fanatical world of football pin badge collecting
